Jesse Wielenga and Devon Mannix Rejoice in Their White Supremacy [UPDATED]

Update: In the hours since this piece was originally published, I have documented both Jesse Wielenga and Devon Mannix using the term WPWW:

WPWW stands for “White Pride World Wide,” which is the motto of Stormfront. “Created by former Alabama Klan boss and long-time white supremacist Don Black in 1995, Stormfront was the first major hate site on the Internet. Claiming more than 300,000 registered members as of May 2015 (though far fewer remain active), the site has been a very popular online forum for white nationalists and other racial extremists.”

In order to give themselves cover from accusations of racism, hate groups like the Worldwide Coalition Against Islam (WCAI) and the Cultural Action Party (CAP) tend to use dog whistle rhetoric instead of overtly racist language. A tactic these groups often employ is conveying racist messaging through culturalist arguments. They will, for example, frequently substitute terms like Old Stock or European for “White” in order to paint a thin cultural veneer over an otherwise racist statement. However, sometimes they slip up and let their true colours show.

Jesse Wielenga, WCAI Canada Vice President, is finally back on Facebook. And, I suppose because he fashions himself as some kind of mega patriot, he is now going by the user name Jesse Canada. Jesse recently raised some eyebrows when he made the following comment on a Facebook post made by CAP’s Devon Mannix:

In case you were wondering who “loved” Jesse’s post, I won’t leave you in suspense:

For those unfamiliar with the terminology being used in the post, “1488 is a combination of two popular white supremacist numeric symbols. The first symbol is 14, which is shorthand for the ‘14 Words’ slogan: ‘We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children’. The second is 88, which stands for ‘Heil Hitler’ (H being the 8th letter of the alphabet).” In other words, Jesse and Devon are showing their mutual appreciation for white supremacy. This does not come as a surprise, as both individuals have shown inclinations towards neo-Nazism time and time again.

Jesse Wielenga’s social media activity is erratic at best. He has a seldom used Twitter account, which consists mostly of a handful of tweets about stock market investment, although one tweet sticks out like a sore thumb:

Interesting hashtag, Jesse.

Wielenga manages to find time inbetween his frequent bans from Facebook to make posts like this:

Wielenga also has a YouTube account:

The two videos uploaded to his account seem to have been made shortly before he hopped aboard the WCAI train. Both videos are monologues spoken directly to the camera; the content of these monologues is concerning, to say the least:

Jesse Wielenga – Islamophobia (Oct 1, 2016) [Transcript]

“The topic today is ‘Islamophobia’: a dislike or prejudice against Islam or Muslims, especially as a political force. So, as we know, Islamophobia is a term coined by the globalists and the left to make people fear being seen as racist or Islamophobic. We know this because we see Hillary use it all the time; you see Trudeau use it all the time, and actually, Canada has actually [sic] passed laws against being Islamophobic. It is a term that is used to make Whites comply; to make Whites subdue; but we won’t. This made-up word has been used as a deterrent from the real problem: Islam itself.
Islam is a horrible, evil religion that cannot be allowed in our countries anymore. It has to be boycotted, or we will all be either dead or in slavery in the next 10 to 20 years. It is [sic] it never has been a religion of peace; it has always been hell bent on conquering the world. We need to organize politically, and if that doesn’t work, we have to do it by force. We cannot allow the extermination of our race and our culture to happen; we cannot let our constitutions be unbound by the people who want to see them disintegrate into ashes. We need a movement, and I believe that White Lives Matter is that movement. Between two countries; between two free nations who are no longer free, but are being sold the foreign interests [sic]. Our constitutions are there to protect us, but, somehow, we as a people have failed our forefathers; we have failed because our generation thinks that freedom is free, and that the government is all-powerful and will protect us. Governments have killed 250 million people this century through genocide. To think that FEMA camps are there for your own good is ludicrous; to think that putting carcinogens in your food and your water is there to help you is ridiculous. And to think that over-taxation without representation is creating wealth for everybody is fucking retarded. And to think that Islam is good for your country is definitely going to be our demise. It will end us; our kids will be murdered or slaves, and our wives and mothers will be raped. If you think Islam is a good thing, why don’t you go live in Saudi Arabia?”

Jesse Wielenga – Clarification (Oct 2, 2016) [Transcript]

“Alright everybody, this video is about clarification as a whole of ‘Black Lives Matter’ and ‘White Lives Matter’…us as an organization and a group. White Lives Matter is a group that sees something very wrong in the west as a whole. We are seeing terrorist groups come over from abroad, and groups that are being produced in our own countries. These groups are being protected by foreign interests and by sitting governments. These groups are allowed to operate freely [unintelligible] these animals is punishable by law. They argue human rights and preaching the constitution is to destroy page by page, twisting it to meet their own needs. So, in turn, we believe to just sit by and watch this happen to two countries simultaneously is a crime. It’s a crime committed by us the people; a crime against our flags; a crime against our national anthems; a crime against our forefathers.
Now, Black Lives Matter is a little different; they are animals. They’re a terrorist group and they’re hell bent on destruction. They are allowed to hunt down whites in the streets of America and get away with it; this is unacceptable. These animals have to be hunted down, deported, or arrested for terrorism charges. We need to eradicate these groups. We need to work with police, active military, and veterans. They will not have a chance to fight this fight if whites take control.
Now, if you are watching this from Canada and you say that this isn’t happening here, you are wrong. Trudeau was setting the stage for turmoil and horrible economic policies, and he’s doing it by ramping up immigration and leaving our borders wide open. Black Lives Matter and ISIS are here. We will see our cities burned also; don’t let this happen. We have to unite as one to eradicate this mess for North America as a whole because our governments have been hijacked. Thank you.”

I don’t feel a rebuttal to such preposterous claims is necessary, as Wielenga’s disgusting words speak for themselves.

And then there’s Devon Mannix, who I have previously written about here. Given that Mannix has a much heavier social media presence than Wielenga, evidence of his racism is not exactly in short supply. If anything, his belief in white supremacy has only become more overt since I last wrote about him. But, before I document his most recent displays of racism, here’s a little reminder that Mannix was posting Hitler speeches on his Twitter account when he was just 14 years old:

Mannix’s worldview hasn’t matured much since then. He recently added 28 Canada to his Facebook “likes,” which is the page for Canada’s branch of the neo-Nazi group Blood and Honour:

Mannix once again shows his admiration of Richard Spencer, the prominent American white nationalist who coined the term “Alt-Right.” Mannix really likes the line “hail victory!” which of course is merely the English translation of “Sieg Heil!” Two words that were frequently used by Nazis and accompanied by the Nazi salute. In a speech delivered shortly after Donald Trump was elected, Spencer not so subtly declared: “Hail Trump, hail our people, hail victory!” His audience responded with numerous Nazi salutes.

Mannix also displays admiration for Nathan Damigo, leader of the white nationalist organization Identity Evropa:

Mannix is not shy about declaring his ‘whites only’ refugee policy. Apparently, non-white refugees are “foreign criminal rapists and murderers” that “should be met with extreme force.” This type of language is truly violent and disturbing:

To say that Mannix has no respect for the Indigenous Peoples of Canada is an understatement:

The ‘Odal Rune’ pictured here is a symbol that has been co-opted by neo-Nazis. Following Donald Trump’s election, one of the United States’ most prominent neo-Nazi groups, the National Socialist Movement, replaced the Nazi swastika on their flag with the Odal Rune in an effort to appeal to a broader base of support.

I could go on and on with more posts illustrating how much of a racist shithead Devon Mannix is, but I will cap things off with a rally poster recently shared by WCAI that contains both threats of violence and neo-Nazi imagery:
